PRESS RELEASE from Common Sense Issues, Inc.
December 5, 2011
U.S. House candidate Kevin Cramer recently signed the Defund Abortion pledge promising “no taxpayer funding of abortions” – a position with which a super-majority of Americans agrees. You can read the petition at DefundAbortion.org.
Kevin Cramer joins Senator John Hoeven and Congressman Rick Berg and other North Dakotans as committed to NOT spending taxpayer dollars on abortions. See the complete list of signers from North Dakota on the national map at DefundAbortion.org.
If an elected official or candidate is willing to make this promise we believe they are committed to the following principles:
~ By making the easy and common sense choice to cut taxpayer funding of abortions they can be trusted to cut spending when it comes to making truly tough choices;
~ They understand that protecting and valuing life – every life – is foundational to who we are as a free people, how we treat one another, and our very freedom;
~ They recognize the skyrocketing government debt threatening America; and,
~ They believe it is NOT their right to force Americans, whose faith and conscience condemns the taking of life, to fund with their tax dollars the very act they abhor.
Any elected official or candidate is invited to sign the defund abortion pledge.
